ABOUT THIS CONCERT
Enjoy a triple bill conceived by Associate Conductor John Devlin, the mastermind behind a series of successful, forward-thinking INTERSECTIONS classical concert experiences.

A moving song cycle for tenor, string orchestra and video, Benjamin Britten’s haunting Les Illuminations, based on the writing of Arthur Rimbaud, will feature acclaimed soloist Gran Wilson, with video design by the visionary Tim McLoraine. Experience the world premiere of Kirsten Warfield's new piece for drum set, electronics, and brass quintet. The finale will feature excerpts from pieces by Beethoven, Elgar and Rimsky-Korsakov, chosen in December via social media, accompanied by video designs.

The Capital City Symphony is DC's premiere community orchestra, bringing together doctors, lawyers, scientists and politicians and many others into a collaborative musical environment.

Treat yourself to a unique visual and musical experience.

BREAKING BAD: SINFUL SONGS FROM THE 1920'S AND 30'S

Nationally acclaimed and "outstandingly talented trio" Three For A Song return to Germano's with songs your mama probably never taught you. Join pianist Alex Hassan, tenor Doug Bowles, and soprano Kari Paludan for a hilarious and scandalous evening of sinfully good tunes with decidedly bawdy predilections. Equal parts double-entendre, sexy, sophisticated and downright naughty; you've never heard Cole Porter and his ilk like this! Don't say we didn't warn you.

“…One of the freshest and most stimulating shows for lovers of vintage popular music performed by an outstandingly talented trio.” — Michael Feinstein
