CEASEFIRE! A Showcase of Jewish Youth Artists to End Gun Violence ~ Sunday 4/28 at 4:30pm in Takoma Park, MD



















Celebrate the passing of Maryland state gun control legislation with local Jewish youth artists.
With Guest Speaker, Maryland State Senator Jamie Raskin.

Sponsored by the Am Kolel Jewish Renewal Community and the city of Takoma Park, the fundraiser is open to the public for a suggested contribution of $15. All proceeds will support the work of Marylanders to Prevent Gun Violence and the Brady Campaign.

The performers feature youth from the Buber Youth Network, Am Kolel, Kehila Chadasha and other Jewish communities in the DC metro area, including several from Takoma Park and Silver Spring. Their performances will include original music, poetry, drama and dance.

Pinter's "No Man's Land" ~ WSC Avant Bard ~ Theatre on the Run in Arlington, VA

A fallen poet drunkenly disputes with a mysterious stranger over success, adventures, and romantic conquests. WSC Artistic Director Emeritus Christopher Henley and his predecessor Brian Hemmingsen star in this play of wit, deceit, and the battle between memory and imagination, directed by newly announced WSC Artistic Director Tom Prewitt. WSC Avant Bard company member Frank Britton and local favorite Bruce Rauscher round out the cast.
