Fundraising Internship / Fall 2011 / Washington, DC Community Orchestra

The Capital City Symphony, a Washington, DC Community Orchestra, is in search of a Fundraising Intern for the Fall 2011 semester. The Fundraising Intern will maintain the development calendar, which includes tracking fundraiser information and grant applications. He/she will work with the general manager to organize and run large and small fundraising events, including an online auction, restaurant events and our second annual Chamber Music Jam.

This is a part-time internship, with an average of 10-12 hours a week split between the CCS office and event-related projects. Attendance at events is required, and the internship will include some evening and weekend hours. Office hours are flexible. This is an unpaid internship. CCS is willing to work with applicants to tailor the internship to meet requirements for academic credit.

The CCS office is located in the Atlas Performing Arts Center, 1333 H Street NE, Washington, DC. Most events take place at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.
