Capital City Symphony: Seamless Symphony

The Capital City Symphony is excited to once again participate in the Atlas INTERSECTIONS Festival: Creating Connection through Innovative Art.

SEAMLESS SYMPHONY
Sunday, February 24 at 5:00pm
at the Atlas Performing Arts Center
1333 H Street NE, Washington, DC

Three contemporary composers respond to classical symphonic selections to create a continuous musical dialogue of past and present.

Four world premieres and three of your favorite symphonic movements, all woven together in a continuous concert experience!

Experience Brahms, Beethoven and Mozart in a whole new way when four contemporary works by Evan Meier, Alexandra T. Bryant and Tomek Regulski surround performances of classic symphonic movements. The composers were asked to begin their piece in the style of the classic, then move into their own musical voice, then segue into the style of the classic to follow, creating a single "Seamless Symphony."

This world premiere concert, conceived and directed by CCS Associate Conductor John Devlin, promises to be an innovative flowing dialogue across time and musical style.

$20/$15
For ages 8+
